While researching
for quality educational material on the Internet, I try my best to eliminate
links that might not be good for children or teachers. However, I cannot
guarantee the security of every link. I hesitate to recommend the use of
security software or filtering software to help screen out objectionable
material as I believe that it promotes within teachers, administrators,
and parents a false sense of security and may even restrict a student from
getting valid information.
I strongly recommend the direct supervision of an adult. Place the computer in the family room of your house/appartment. This is also a good way to spend quality time with your child.
