MO'MONEY! MO'MONEY! MO'MONEY!



 

This WebQuest is designed to help you become more familiar with the skills that involve money.  You will apply prior and newly gained knowledge to several activities.  In order to successfully complete the webquest, you will need a pencil and some paper.

What you will learn?

    At the end of this activity you will be able to:

Resources 

1.    Can't remember what each coin is worth?  St. Patty's Pot O'Gold can help.

2.    Visit Money Flashcards to refresh your money memory.

3.    Making change can be fun with the Change Maker!

4.    Let's go shopping!  Help your friends shop by visiting Counting Money.

5.    At The Lemonade Stand you can have a ball running you own business.

The Process 

1.    Visit St. Patty's Pot O'Gold.  Scroll down to the middle of the page.  Here you will write down in your journal the value of every American coin.

2.    Go to Money Flashcards and do at least five problems to get your mind back on the money track.

3.    Get to the  Change Maker.  Here you will earn money each time you make correct change.  Select from your choice of easy, medium, hard, or super brain.  You must solve at least five problems.

4.    Visit Counting Money to help with the shopping.  Select a friend to shop with.  You are there to help figure the correct change that is due to your friend after purchases have been made.  Record in your journal the purchases made, money given, and change received.

5.    Great!  Now you are ready to apply all of the skills learned to your very own business.  Go to The Lemonade Stand, enter your name, answer the questions, and you are well on your way to MO' MONEY, MO' MONEY, MO' MONEY.

Learning Advice

MO' MONEY is filled with web sites that have great activities.  This WebQuest will allow you to better understand money and apply the knowledge gained to real life situations.

Conclusion

Wow! You are done and well on your way to making your very own purchases with your very own money. This WebQuest should have prepared you for the "real world".  GOOD LUCK !!
