Writing a paragraph, how boring! With the following activities, you will think writing is "write on." You will learn the basics of writing a paragraph and put them to use in a fun way. You will use your knowledge for writing paragraphs in stories. You can become part of stories and let your writing skills run wild. So, "Write On."
Introduction:
To write a proper paragraph, use the following:
The Tasks:
identify the 3 parts of paragraph, write a proper paragraph using the 3 parts, sequence elements in an interactive story, write creative stories, and write a report using paragraph form. ![]()
Writing a paragraph is sometimes hard. You might not know that there are three parts in a paragraph. You will find that using these websites will help you become a better writer. You may even find that writing a paragraph is more fun.
The Process:
1. Parts of a Paragraph are exciting. Let's learn about the three parts of a paragraph: a topic sentence, supporting details, and a closing sentence and see great examples of them. You can also get Five Helpful Steps to help you write a good paragraph.2. Put your new knowledge to work by writing a paragraph about a Scarecrow. You can let your imagination run wild. There are many different stories to be told about this silly little scarecrow. Remember, in order to write on this page, you must print it out. After you have written the story, place it in a writing portfolio.
3. The sun shines on the sparkling water at the Beach. Your special day will be shared with others. Munch on Yummy Fruit and don't forget the sunscreen. Print this and put it in your writing portfolio.
4. Let's Get Animalistic! A book about your favorite animal will need to be read. Animals can not think for themselves. They need you to help inform readers about their wordy adventures. Your incredible paragraph writing skills will help summarize their characteristics that you learned from the book. You must print this out and place it your writing portfolio.
5. Through an Interactive Story you can become part of the story itself. You can choose what happens next. You observe and create the story.
You will receive a grade for each of the tasks on this webquest. Those receiving A's will complete the task under the Exemplary column. Those receiving B's will complete the task under the Accomplished column. Those receiving C's will complete the task under the Developing column.
