The Thoughtful Spot

Come to The Thoughtful Spot.  Here you can learn about Winnie the Pooh and all of his friends.  Take a stroll through the 100 Aker Woods and sit on Pooh's thinkin' log.  You will be surprised what you will learn.

Here are some interesting sites to help you learn more about Winnie the Pooh.  Please view all of them in the order they are listed.

1.  This is a great place to learn about the man who created Winnie the Pooh and the little boy who was the reason for his work.    This site also tells about the artist who drew this cuddly bear and his friends.  There is also many more interesting facts at Pooh's Pleasure Page.

2. Do you have a favorite character from the Pooh stories?  Worldkids is a super site.  It gives info on all of the characters.  It also has a great map of the 100 Aker Woods.

3. Reading is so much fun.  There are some great stories at justpooh that you can read and print if you wish. You could even help Eeyore find his tail.

4.  Games are so much fun in the 100 Aker Woods.  Here is a great site with a bunch of games you could play alone or with friends.  Coloring with the Pooh gang has never been more fun.  There are plenty of pages to print and color.

5. If you love Disney, you will love this playground.  You can view Pooh's photo album.  Pooh invites you to play a game in the Crystal cave.  There is even a schedule of Disney programs that allows you to see when The New Adventures of WInnie the Pooh is on in your hometown.

The Process:

Here are some interesting sites to help you learn more about Winnie the Pooh.  Please view all of them in the order they are listed.

1.  Go to this page and write down the name of the man who wrote the stories about Winnie the Pooh.  Print a picture of the man who was the artist of the Pooh stories.  Write his name under his picture.

2.Worldkids is a super site.  Go to Rabbit's house and look at the vegetables he and his friends grew.  Tell a friend the vegetables you see.   Go to the Honey Bee Tree and find out how Pooh tried to fool the bees.  Go  to the 100 Aker Woods and listen to some of owl's famous quotes.

3. Read and print the story about Tigger and Roo getting stuck in the tree.  Tell the class what you thought about the story.  Pick a story from the justpooh site and print and share with your class.

4. Visit the 100 Aker Woods and play a game of Hangperson.   Print a Coloring page of your favorite character and ask your teacher to copy it for your classmates to color during art.

5.  See how fast your fingers fly.  Play a game with Pooh in the  Crystal cave.   Then look at the  schedule of Disney programs and write the time that you can view The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh on WBBJ in Jackson, Tennessee.

6.  Now that you have learned many new facts about Winnie the Pooh, it is time to take a quiz.

Learning Advice:

I hope you have enjoyed visiting The Thoughtful Spot. Please follow directions in the order in which they were given.  It would be a good idea to have a folder to keep the projects you have completed together.  Please include all printouts of stories and anything you have completed from this WebQuest and date each page.  Keep everything together in the order in which it was completed and show it to your teacher.


Conclusion:

My goal for this site is for you to learn many things about Winnie the Pooh.  You should have learned who created Pooh.  I hope you were able to pick a character that you liked the most and a story that is your favorite.
