1.  What's the difference between "baby" teeth and permanent teeth?   At between six and ten months of age, most infants begin to get their "baby" teeth. The Central Incisors (front middle teeth) usually come in first, and then teeth begin appearing on either side and work their way back to the second molars.

2.  There are several ways to aid in the prevention of cavities.  Brushing and flossing are two of the main ways.   Sealants are another excellent method of prevention.  A dental sealant is a thin plastic film painted on the chewing surfaces of molars and  premolars (the teeth directly in front of the molars). Sealants have been shown to be
highly effective in the prevention of cavities.

3.  The annual observance of children's dental health began as a one-day event in Cleveland, Ohio on February 3, 1941. In 1981, the program was extended to a month-long celebration known today as National Children's Dental Health Month.
