* Characteristics:  The walleye is the largest member of the perch family, which includes darters, yellow perch, sauger and log perch.

* Habitat:  Sauger love any kind of eddy water. River bends or structure such as rockpiles, islands, points, etc. are prime spots for the sauger.

* Food: The favorite food of the sauger is the crawdibottom.  The         crawdibottom is a small brown and black spotted fish which grows to about five or six inches in length (most are smaller).
