Lawrence Kohlberg's Theory of Moral Development

1.  Moral Development:  This site gives a quick overview of Kohlberg's work at Harvard where he was a professor.  It also has an outline of his stages of moral development and explains at what time in a person's life he/she should experience these stages.
 

 2.  Six Stages:  Great site that thoroughly explains Kohlberg's six stages of moral development.  It also contains observations made by Kohlberg that further explain his developmental stages.
 

 3. Examples of Six Stages:  Good webpage that gives examples of the stages of moral development.  It helps to better understand what is happening during these stages.
 

 4.  Pros and Cons:  Good site that gives the pros and cons on Kohlberg's ideas for his theory of moral development.
 

5.  Moral Story:  "The good, the bad, and the difference."  Cover story in Newsweek magazine.  Excellent story explaining that if parents understand the stages of a child's moral development, they can help their children learn right from wrong.
